Pollinators, including honey bees, are having a hard time these days. The list of suggestions below will help pollinators. With the majority of our population living in urban communities and apart from nature, we sometimes forget that we are a part of the natural world.

Go out outside and see how many pollinators you hear and observe. What is in your area? It's hard to understand and support the environment when we live inside all day.

Make your community more sustainable. Plant things that pollinators like (see a list below). Keep areas of your yard undisturbed so insects can have a place to stay.

The chemicals we use on our grass and in our gardens and yards affects the fauna and flora around us. For example, weed killers can affect insects negatively as well as the unwanted plants. Did you know dandelions are one of the main sources of nectar and pollen in the spring for insects?

Support sustainable local groups, actions, events, societies, & clubs

Your purchases are actually votes for a product, as companies will supply what we demand. So....Where does the product come from? How much of a carbon footprint does it have? What are the processes used to get it to the store shelf? What ingredients does it have? What chemicals were used to grow it/preserve it/prepare it?
